Marriage and Family Therapist
and my therapy (Select Underlined words for resources)
I am a wife and mother of three girls and in three years I will have three female teenagers...maybe you can relate and know what that is like. I have always had an interest in self-help everything...books, hard conversations, and yes therapy, which allows me to do what I am not only interested in, but do what I love.
I have a Masters in Psychology and have a license in Marriage and Family Therapy. Seeing couples and individual adults is my focus. I offer secular and Christian therapy. I incorporate: internal family systems (IFS) a.k.a. parts work, psychodynamic concepts to increase insight, experiential theories including emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and focus on attachment, self worth, and identity. I also pull from psychosomatic concepts which target sensations in the body that is useful in understanding thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I use Brainspotting, which is a body sourced treatment to help with trauma. I spend time with couples identifying their relationship cycle...in search for their motivating cycle. Emotional regulation, depression, grief, trauma, and anxiety are also part of my offered therapy.
I consider therapy one of the last frontiers where matters of the heart are shared and I consider it a privilege to do this work.
